107 e-Book Idea Triggers: A Must for All 'How To' Authors About What People Want Now (An Intro)
About 150 millions needs are yet to be met! With this gist in a piece titled "MAKING MONEY MADE EASY" written in the "Nigerian Tribune" by Sulaimon Olanrewaju (lanresulaimon@yahoo.com), I just found myself more and more interested in seeing to meeting people's WANTS not just their NEEDS in the 'how to' information way. For e-books authors want ideas, a checklist of idea triggers as partly provided below can hardly be thrown away. It has been found a companion piece for today's 'how to' e-book authors.
Back to the writer. He wrote and I quote: "We are about 150 million in Nigeria. That means there are about 150 million in the country. Just imagine 150 million needs. Definitely, not all of the needs have been met. The import of this is that you still have a chance to hit your million if only you will identify the needs there are in your immediate environment and set out to meet them. "He further wrote that "never believe there is no new thing that can be produced. The world still needs so many new things especially the ones from you. Wait a minute, there is something you have that million are dying to get. Don't deny them this opportunity and don't deny yourself the opportunity of hitting real money. Walk with your eyes open and you will find out there are needs everywhere. Look inwards and you will realize that you have something that the world requires."
I am 300% sure that information is the number one want millions are dying to get - especially on the Internet. I am again 300% sure that you as an author (established, fresher or potential) of 'how to' books or e-books, have what the world requires to help it meet both wants and needs. You have information food for the info-hungered thereby providing the opportunity to fetch yourself your own portion of the World Wide Wealth (WWW).
Having analyzed various things people want and how e-books can help them get such things, I have came up with 107 e-book idea triggers deduced from 7 themes which can help you develop more than 1007 titles if you so desire.
Let's now look at the themes of what people want.
People want to SAVE whatever they must save.
They want to AVOID what they must avoid.
They want to BE who they want to become.
They want to GAIN what must be gained.
They want to DO what they want to do
They want to FEEL as they like
They want to BE AT wherever they desire.
Now the idea triggers:
From the above list, I have selected the second theme (i.e. AVOID what they must avoid) to show the part of the list of ideas I have developed from it. What do you think people want to avoid now. How much info do you have or can have to help them avoid what they must avoid now?
Go over the checklist below (i.e. my answer to the first question I ask above)before you give your own answer.
People want to AVOID:
Worry
Embarrassment
Sickness
Divorce
Loss
Loneliness
Blame
Victimization
Domination (by others)
Drudgery
Abuse
Pressure
Troubles
Fear
Mistakes
Shame
Molestation
Guilt
Debt
Doubts
Pains
Rigours
Risks
Shyness
Disaster
Ignorance
Punishment
...etc ...etc ...etc
...etc ...etc ...etc
and even unusual specifics such as snoring and bed-wetting!
How many books have you written on any of the above? How many are you writing presently? How many can you write on all (or some of) the ideas?
I can see you doing something! Cooking up titles on how you can help people AVOID what they must avoid just with helpful information from you.
Go on and start building your own list of 1007 titles.
