Human Hibernation

At what point do we draw the line between preventative medicine and trying to create immortality. Sure it sounds good, preventing terminally ill diseases and prolonging Human life, however there is just one problem. Man by design, was not intended to live for ever. Mortality is a vital part of our existence as a whole and without it, we would not be able to survive as a race. No one looks forward to the day they die, conversely, how many of us really like the idea of living forever? All of us, at one point or another realize that the things of this world are meaningless. We long for something more! That something more, is our inevitable date with mortality and a chance to meet our Maker. I like the idea of circumventing premature death, but not extending my stay indefinitely. I too, like everyone else desire a long and fulfilling life. When my kids are all grown and my work here is done, I look forward to the day when I can rest in peace once and for all.
